The Score’s ‘Julie and Maggie’ win Gracie Award

Maggie Hendricks and Julie DiCaro

Julie DiCaro and Maggie Hendricks have been named recipients of a 2019 Gracie Award for their weekly sports show and podcast on Entercom sports/talk WSCR 670-AM.

"The Julie and Maggie Show,” which airs Saturdays on The Score, was cited in the local radio category by Alliance for Women in Media, which bestows the prestigious awards to recognize exemplary programming created by women, for women and about women in all facets of media and entertainment.

The awards are named after Gracie Allen, the late vaudevillian and comedienne.

Kaelin Roberts

Also honored in the local radio category was Kaelin Roberts, executive producer of Christopher “Fred” Frederick and Angi Taylor's morning show on iHeartMedia Top 40 WKSC 103.5-FM.

Mitch Rosen, operations director of The Score, congratulated DiCaro and Hendricks Tuesday, calling the award “such a huge honor and accomplishment.”

DiCaro, a former attorney and advocate for women in sports media, also hosts weeknights on The Score. Hendricks, who writes for USA Today Sports, previously worked for Yahoo Sports and NBC Chicago.

They'll be honored in June at a luncheon in New York.
