Another Spanish-language Mexican regional music station is coming to Chicago next year.

iHeartMedia Chicago announced Tuesday it has signed a local marketing agreement with Show Time Media to broadcast the full-time music, entertainment and information format on 97.5 FM, starting February 1. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Currently airing on the FM translator is ESPN Deportes Radio, a Spanish sports radio network. An iHeartMedia spokeswoman confirmed the sports format will be dropped.

Billed as 97.5 FM Poder — A New Beacon of Power for Chicago, the station will be managed by Alfredo Lopez for Show Time Media. The company is an enterprise of Chicago entrepreneur Pedro Segura, founder of Prime Dental Manufacturing.

Licensed to west suburban Hillside and broadcasting from atop the Aon Center, the 250-watt signal of FM translator W248BB is controlled by iHeartMedia Chicago through an agreement with owner Educational Media Foundation.

Chicago’s two largest Mexican regional music stations are Univision Radio WOJO FM 105.1 and Spanish Broadcasting System WLEY FM 107.9.
