The Mix tops Chicago radio ratings

For only the second time in recent years, WTMX FM 101.9 was the top-rated radio station in Chicago, according to Nielsen Audio figures released last week.

The Hubbard Radio hot adult-contemporary station, which routinely dominates the market in the key demographic of adults between 25 and 54, hadn’t finished first among all listeners across the board since since May 2012.

For the survey period from July 16 to August 12, The Mix morning duo of Eric Ferguson and Kathy Hart led the way, tying for first place with Felicia Middlebrooks and Pat Cassidy on the CBS Radio all-news simulcast of WBBM AM 780 and WCFS FM 105.9. Steve Cochran moved up to third place in mornings on Tribune Media news/talk WGN AM 720.

The Mix also was No. 1 in middays with Lisa Allen and afternoons with Kevin “Koz” Koske.
