Ed O'Bradovich, whose longtime, irrepressible partnership with the late Doug Buffone became “must-listen radio” for Bears fans on CBS Radio sports/talk WSCR AM 670, is switching broadcast teams this fall.

Tribune Media news/talk WGN AM 720 has hired O'Bradovich to host a three-hour Bears postgame show with fellow ex-Bears Dan Hampton and Glen Kozlowski. After a preseason special in August, “The Hamp & O.B. Show with Glen Kozlowski” will officially debut September 13 and follow every regular season game.

O'Bradovich, 75, who was a fixture on the Bears defensive line from 1962 to 1971, was approached with the offer after former Bears teammate and Score broadcast partner Buffone died in April. “I cannot tell you how much I will miss him,” he said at the time.

“I think O.B. really struggled because he loves doing it, but with the loss of Doug recently it was hard,” said Todd Manley, vice president of programming and content at WGN. “He and Dan are tight, and they have a certain sense of rhythm together. So I think it’s going to be an exciting show to hear.”

Bears radio broadcasts continue to air on CBS Radio WBBM AM 780 and WCFS FM 105.9.

Officials of the Score declined to comment on their plans.
