Ashley Fields has been promoted to marketing director of WBBM Newsradio, simulcast partner WCFS FM 105.9 and sports/talk WSCR AM 670. She also will oversee integrated marketing and non-tradition revenue efforts for Cubs baseball and Bears football on WBBM Newsradio and White Sox baseball on the Score.
Fields, who joined CBS Radio Chicago as a sales account executive out of Northwestern University graduate school, most recently has been director of marketing at the Score.
“Ashley’s sales and marketing experience at the Score along with the White Sox, makes her uniquely qualified to lead the marketing departments at these two great brands,” Rod Zimmerman, senior vice president and market manager of CBS Radio Chicago, said in announcing the appointment.
In related moves, Sheri McDonnell has moved up to promotions and events manager at WBBM Newsradio, and Angela Pargas, most recently with Radio Disney, has been named promotions and events manager at the Score. A new position for an integrated marketing manager for the Score and the play-by-play franchises is expected to be filled soon.
The department reorganization was preceded by the layoff last month of Cher Ames after 14 years as director of marketing and promotions at the WBBM Newsradio combo.
