It’s go time for Reverie, the new River North restaurant and sports bar backed by three Chicago sportscasters.

Ryan Baker of CBS-owned WBBM-Channel 2, Lou Canellis of Fox-owned WFLD-Channel 32, and Kip Lewis of Comcast SportsNet Chicago are partners in the two-story restaurant and lounge set to open in the next few days at 414 North Orleans Street.

“Here we go! @ReverieChicago,” Baker tweeted Tuesday along with a photo of the front entrance.

Chef Rodelio Aglibot has designed a menu that's “contemporary American with Asian accents,” according to Adam Cisek of Chicago-based Premium Themes Inc., another partner in the venture. The upstairs lounge will feature a sushi bar. “We are opening any day,” Cisek said.

A subsequent press release announced that Reverie would open at 4 p.m. Friday. It called the venue “the 2.0 version of your favorite restaurant and lounge [with] a mix of the latest innovations in cuisine, design and entertainment” and “a soon-to-be mecca for food and nightlife connoisseurs.” It will be open daily from 11 a.m. until closing Sunday through Friday, and until 3 a.m. on Saturday, according to the press release.

Located on Orleans between Hubbard and Kinzie, it’s the former site of Klay Oven Indian Restaurant and the short-lived Brewstone Beer Company. It’s also in the shadow of the East Bank Club at 500 North Kingsbury Street and the Sun-Times at 350 North Orleans Street.
