After just one year, Danielle Robay is leaving the morning show on Weigel Broadcasting WCIU-Channel 26 to return to Los Angeles to seek her fortune.

Robay has been one of three co-hosts of “The Jam” along with Jordan Cornette and Felicia Lawrence since it was launched last summer. The news, talk and entertainment show airs from 6 to 8 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Steve Bailey, head of local programming and creative for The U, said Robay will be leaving the show in mid-June and that a search is on for her replacement.

“Danielle’s star is about to shine brighter as she embarks on her next big adventure in L.A.,” Bailey said. “We couldn’t be more excited for her and will be cheering her on from Chicago.”

Robay, a Glencoe native and graduate of New Trier Township High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, worked in L.A. earlier as a contributor to NBC-owned KNBC and as host and producer for “Entertainment Tonight Online.”
