Rise and shine: Chicago radio’s top of the morning

Eric Ferguson

Even with longtime partner Kathy Hart missing in action since April, Eric Ferguson continues to rule the morning radio roost in Chicago.

“The Eric & Kathy Show” on Hubbard Radio hot adult-contemporary WTMX FM 101.9 was No. 1 among all listeners in July, according to Nielsen Audio ratings released Monday.

The Mix in morning drive also swept the adult demographics, finishing first among men and women between 25 and 54 — categories most closely tied to advertising revenue.

All-news simulcast on CBS Radio WBBM AM 780/WCFS FM 105.9 with Felicia Middlebrooks and Pat Cassidy finished second, followed by Steve Harvey on iHeartMedia urban adult-contemporary WVAZ FM 102.7, and Steve Cochran on Tribune Broadcasting news/talk WGN AM 720.
