In the latest Chicago radio ratings, the winner and still champion is WVAZ FM 102.7. The iHeartMedia urban adult-contemporary station also finished first in middays, afternoons and evenings.

Nielsen Audio ratings released Monday for the period from April 23 to May 20 showed V103 leading the market among overall listeners and among those between 25 and 54 — the prime demographic favored by advertisers.

Only Eric Ferguson and Kathy Hart of Hubbard Radio hot adult contemporary WTMX FM 101.9 broke V103’s stranglehold on the adult demo, remaining a strong No. 1 in mornings among 25-54 listeners.

CBS Radio all-news WBBM AM 780, the market’s overall runner-up, again finished first among all listeners in mornings, with anchors Felicia Middlebrooks and Pat Cassidy. With Cubs baseball broadcasts now airing on Newsradio 780, Nielsen Audio has begun reporting separate figures for WCFS FM 105.9, which previously simulcast the AM station full time. The listing below combines the two stations in mornings, when the simulcasting continues.

Since the survey period ended, iHeartMedia personnel changes dislodged Paul “Cubby” Bryant from mornings on adult contemporary WLIT FM 93.9, Ryan “Jordan” Gorman from afternoons on Top 40 WKSC FM 103.5, and U.B. Rodriguez from afternoons on urban contemporary WGCI FM 107.5. The numbers here reflect their performance.

Among Chicago’s news/talk stations, Tribune Media WGN AM 720 tied for eighth with a 3.3 share; Chicago Public Media WBEZ FM 91.5 tied for 18th with a 2.4 share; Cumulus Media WLS AM 890 was 29th with 1.1 share; and Newsweb Radio WCPT AM 820 and Salem Media WIND AM 560 tied for 35th with 0.7 shares. Midway Broadcasting WVON AM 1690 did not register among the top 60 stations in the market.
