Veteran journalist Ellen Warren, who retired last fall after more than two decades as senior correspondent and columnist for the Chicago Tribune, is coming back.

Starting April 26, Warren’s popular “Answer Angel Ellen” column will return to the pages of the Sunday Tribune and will be distributed nationally by Tribune Content Agency as part of Tribune News Service.

“TCA is working to sharpen and expand the portfolio, and ‘Answer Angel’ sweetens the mix,” said Joyce Winnecke, president of Tribune Content Agency. “We are excited to offer it each week to our clients.”

In the column, Warren answers reader questions on shopping, style, fashion, makeup and beauty. She describes her target readership as “women of all ages and confused men who aren't afraid to ask for advice.”

When she accepted a buyout last fall, Warren said her plans were to spend the winter “someplace warm” and train for a half-marathon. After her farewell column appeared, the Tribune received “a giant number of emails and calls saying bring me back,” she said. In addition, she personally received more than 1,000 emails from readers.

Added Warren: “I'd always intended to continue to write for the Tribune after I left — book reviews and etc. — but now I'll appear weekly.”
