Two of Chicago’s leading Spanish-language radio stations have added new drive-time shows to their lineups, as part of a multifaceted syndication agreement between Univision Local Media and Entravision Communications.

The addition earlier this month of “El Show de Erazno y La Chokolata” to afternoons on regional Mexican WOJO FM 105.1 and "El Show de Alex 'El Genio' Lucas” to mornings on adult contemporary WPPN FM 106.7 reflects the continued deployment of syndicated programming on both Univision Radio stations.

Airing from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday through Friday, Entravision’s “El Show de Erazno y La Chokolata” stars Oswaldo Diaz on the comedy variety show billed as one of the hottest programs in Spanish-language radio. On WOJO, the show replaced Rafael "El Primo Rafa" Bautista, who moved to 1 to 4 p.m.

“We are focused on continuing to bring our audiences the culturally relevant content they want and are pleased to bring ‘El Show de Erazno y La Chokolata’ to our listeners in key markets where Univision has a strong presence,” Jose Valle, president of Univision Radio, said in a statement. In addition to WOJO, the show was added to Univision stations in San Francisco/San Jose, California, and Dallas, Houston and Austin, Texas.

New to WPPN from 6 to 10 a.m. weekdays, Entravision’s "El Show de Alex 'El Genio' Lucas” replaces "El Show de Omar y Argelia,” which was dropped.

In the latest Nielsen Audio survey, WOJO tied for 15th in afternoons with a 2.6 share and cumulative weekly audience of 318,000. WPPN ranked 25th in mornings with a 1.2 share and 167,300 cume.
