A personal note about my blog

Feder skylineI have some important news to share with you about my blog. But as long as I have your attention, let me first thank you for your loyalty and support. One year ago, I launched RobertFeder.com under a unique licensing agreement with Chicago Tribune Media Group. I am solely and independently responsible for all editorial content posted here, while Tribune controls the marketing, advertising and technical elements. Thanks to a steadily growing daily readership, the arrangement has exceeded everyone's expectations.

Now it's time for the next step in the evolution of our venture.

Starting Tuesday, October 7, RobertFeder.com will become part of the exclusive, premium digitalPLUS tier of ChicagoTribune.com. If you're already a digitalPLUS subscriber, you'll continue to have unlimited access to my blog and its archives. If not, you'll be asked to register by providing your email address when you come to my site. You'll still be able to access five stories a month for free. After the first five each month, you'll be offered the opportunity to subscribe. Once you subscribe, you'll have unlimited access to everything the Tribune delivers online (including daily access to the digital copy of the Chicago Tribune).

For a limited time, the Tribune is offering my readers a special 52-week deal for $99 (which is $30 off the regular discounted price). For more details, here is the link: FEDER SUBSCRIPTION SPECIAL. You also can sign up for just four weeks at the introductory price of 99 cents. Remember: Either option provides unlimited access to everything on my site and on ChicagoTribune.com.

My social media links from Twitter and Facebook also will remain accessible, though your browser settings may affect the access. If you're receiving my free email alerts with links to my posts, you'll continue to get those, too.

Here’s what else won’t change: My independent, exclusive reporting on the Chicago media beat. I'm grateful to you for reading me each day and hope you'll continue along for the ride.

Thanks!
