Ten past and present stars of WGN AM 720 will be honored next month when the Tribune Broadcasting news/talk station unveils “The WGN Radio Walk of Fame.”

In conjunction with WGN's 90th anniversary celebration, the Walk of Fame’s inaugural inductees will be Jack Brickhouse, Bob Collins, Roy Leonard, Judy Markey, Spike O’Dell, Kathy O’Malley, Wally Phillips, Milt Rosenberg, Quin Ryan and Orion Samuelson. Each will be recognized with a plaque outside the station’s Tribune Tower studios at 435 N. Michigan Avenue.

WGN will air the induction ceremony live from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on June 27. A special anniversary broadcast, “90 Years in 90 Minutes” will follow at 1 p.m.

“Our inaugural Walk of Fame class represents all nine decades of WGN Radio’s life in Chicago,” Todd Manley, vice president of content at WGN, said in a statement. “We look forward to honoring even more names who have helped make us the fencepost of conversation for 90 years.”

Four of the Walk of Fame inductees — Brickhouse, Collins, Phillips and Samuelson — also are enshrined in the National Radio Hall of Fame.
