Sixteen radio stations in Chicago boast audiences in excess of one million listeners each week, according to figures released Monday by Nielsen Audio.
WKSC FM 103.5, the Clear Channel pop contemporary-hit radio station known as Kiss FM, again topped the market in fall with a cumulative weekly audience of 2,241,700.
Cume refers to the total number of different persons who tune to a radio station during the course of a week for at least five minutes. It differs from audience share, which refers to the percentage of those listening to a particular station during an average quarter-hour. By that measure, Kiss FM ranks seventh with a 4.0 percent audience share.
